What is a .IIQ file?

IIQ is Phase One’s medium-format camera RAW format (Intelligent Image Quality). Opened in Capture One.

Did you know
  • IIQ holds the very high resolution raw files from Phase One’s medium-format backs.
  • IIQ stands for Intelligent Image Quality, Phase One’s own naming for its medium-format raw files.
  • The format comes in lossless IIQ-L and smaller, lossy IIQ-S variants to trade quality against file size.
  • An IIQ-L file can preserve the full 16-bit signal straight off the camera’s high-resolution sensor.
  • It is the native capture format of Phase One and Mamiya backs, handled through Capture One software.
What Analyser shows you
Open camera RAW files from Sony (ARW), Canon (CR2, CR3, CRW), Nikon (NEF, NRW), Fujifilm X-Trans (RAF), Sigma Foveon (X3F), Olympus (ORF), Panasonic (RW2), Pentax (PEF), Adobe DNG and many more. Reads full EXIF and lens data, the true sensor resolution, GPS and histograms, recovers the Sony and Nikon shutter actuation count, and develops the RAW - decoding the sensor to a full-resolution image, or extracting the embedded preview when a true demosaic is not available.
