What is a .MHT file?

MHT saves a whole web page - text and images - in one file.

Did you know
  • MHT bundles a complete web page so it can be read offline as a single file.
  • The format grew out of email standards, encapsulating a web page and its resources the same way a message carries multiple attachments.
  • Internet Explorer 5 was the first browser to save and open these single-file web archives, popularising “Save as Web Archive”.
What Analyser shows you
Open lightweight document and markup formats as selectable page previews: Rich Text Format (RTF, control words stripped to readable prose), AbiWord (ABW), FictionBook ebooks (FB2), Hangul HWPX, and MHTML web archives (the saved HTML rendered with scripts removed), plus markup and typesetting source - DITA, TEI, JATS journal XML, reStructuredText, AsciiDoc, Org-mode, Textile, TeX/LaTeX and BibTeX - shown with every page selectable and copyable.
Open a .MHT file
Drag a .MHT file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It opens entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
