What is a .HWPX file?
HWPX is the modern XML format of Hancom Office, the leading word processor in South Korea.
- Did you know
- Hancom’s word processor is so dominant in South Korea that HWP files are everywhere there.
- HWPX is South Korea’s national document standard KS X 6101, based on the XML-based OWPML markup, and became the default save format for Hancom Office in 2021.
- Like DOCX, an HWPX file is a ZIP package of XML parts describing the document’s content, layout and styling.

- Open a .HWPX file
- Drag a .HWPX file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It opens entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
