What is a .SPP file?
SPP is a project from Adobe Substance 3D Painter, used to texture 3D models. Created and opened by Substance Painter.
- Did you know
- Substance Painter came from Allegorithmic, which Adobe acquired in 2019.
- Substance Painter lets artists paint textures directly onto a 3D model following a physically based rendering workflow.
- Since version 8.2 the application stores its own version number inside each saved SPP project file.
- What Analyser reads
- Identify design-app files: Figma (FIG), Sketch, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher, Procreate, GIMP (XCF), Krita (KRA), Paint.NET, and Substance.
- Depth of analysis
- .SPP is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
- Open a .SPP file
- Drag a .SPP file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
