What is a .RTTTL file?
RTTTL is the simple text format behind classic monophonic Nokia ringtones.

- RTTTL let people type out and share ringtones as short lines of text.
- RTTTL was devised by Nokia and ties into its Smart Messaging system, so monophonic tunes could be sent to handsets over SMS.
- A ringtone is written as three colon-separated parts - a name, default note values, and the notes themselves with duration, pitch and octave.
