What is a .RPP file?

RPP is a REAPER digital-audio-workstation project. Created and opened by Cockos REAPER.

Did you know
  • REAPER was released by Cockos in 2006 and is known for its tiny size and low price.
  • A REAPER project is a human-readable text file using a custom nested block syntax, and it stores only path references to media rather than the audio itself.
  • Starting a project also spawns companion RPP-BAK backup and RPP-UNDO history files beside the main RPP.
What Analyser reads
Identify DAW project files and read version, tempo, and plugin data: Ableton Live (ALS), FL Studio (FLP), Reaper (RPP), Logic Pro, Pro Tools (PTX), and Cubase (CPR).
Depth of analysis
.RPP is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
Open a .RPP file
Drag a .RPP file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
