What is a .LOGIC file?
A LOGIC file is an Apple Logic Pro music project. Created and opened by Logic Pro.
- Did you know
- Apple bought Logic from German company Emagic in 2002 and made it a Mac flagship.
- Logic descends from Notator Logic by Emagic, whose roots trace to the C-Lab Creator and Notator sequencers on the Atari ST.
- The “Notator” prefix was dropped once the software was ported beyond the ageing Atari, leaving it known simply as Logic.
- What Analyser reads
- Identify DAW project files and read version, tempo, and plugin data: Ableton Live (ALS), FL Studio (FLP), Reaper (RPP), Logic Pro, Pro Tools (PTX), and Cubase (CPR).
- Depth of analysis
- .LOGIC is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
- Open a .LOGIC file
- Drag a .LOGIC file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
