What is a .X_T file?
X_T is a Parasolid solid-model exchange file in text form. Read by SolidWorks, Siemens NX and more.
- Did you know
- Parasolid is the modelling kernel behind SolidWorks, Solid Edge and Siemens NX.
- The “t” in .x_t stands for text, the human-readable form of a Parasolid transmit file, paired with the binary .x_b.
- Parasolid traces back to the ROMULUS kernel built by Shape Data in Cambridge, England, before passing to Unigraphics and then Siemens.
- What Analyser reads
- Identify neutral CAD exchange formats: Parasolid (X_T, X_B) and ACIS (SAT). STEP and IGES get a full 3D viewer - see the 3D model section.
- Depth of analysis
- .X_T is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
- Open a .X_T file
- Drag a .X_T file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
