  • Dolby TrueHD launched around 2006 as a lossless surround format for high-definition discs.
  • Dolby TrueHD can deliver up to 16 discrete channels at 24-bit depth and sampling rates as high as 192 kHz.
  • It falls back to a standard Dolby Digital track when a player cannot decode the lossless stream.
What Analyser reads
Identify Dolby surround codecs - Digital Plus (E-AC-3), TrueHD, MLP, and Atmos - with channel-layout detection (5.1, 7.1).
Depth of analysis
.TrueHD is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
Open a .TrueHD file
Drag a .TrueHD file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
