What is a .SKP file?
SKP is a 3D model from SketchUp. Created and opened by SketchUp.

- SketchUp launched in 2000 and was owned by Google from 2006 to 2012.
- SketchUp began at the Boulder start-up @Last Software, whose SKP format debuted with the program in 2000.
- After Google’s ownership it passed to Trimble in 2012, which still maintains SketchUp and the SKP format today.

- .SKP is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
