What is a .PLN file?
.PLN is a 3D / CAD (more) file (3D / CAD / engineering). Analyser identifies a .PLN file and reads the metadata in its header, right in your browser.
- Did you know
- What Analyser reads
- Identify more 3D, CAD and scene files: Google Draco compressed meshes, Gaussian splats (KSplat), Universal 3D, Dassault 3DXML, DirectX .x models, Qubicle voxels, Wings3D, Graphisoft ArchiCAD BIM projects (PLN/PLA, from their "ROF FDB" header), Autodesk Revit (RVT/RFA and templates, build version from BasicFileInfo), Siemens Solid Edge, Navisworks, legacy CATIA V4, terrestrial-scanner point clouds (FARO/Trimble) and legacy binary Visio (.vsd).
- Depth of analysis
- .PLN is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
- Open a .PLN file
- Drag a .PLN file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
