What is a .P65 file?
P65 is an Adobe PageMaker 6.5 layout.
- Did you know
- P65 came from PageMaker 6.5, near the end of the program’s life.
- PageMaker 6.5 introduced layers and text frames, modernising the program Adobe had inherited when it bought Aldus.
- PageMaker helped launch the desktop-publishing revolution before Adobe phased it out in favour of InDesign.
- What Analyser reads
- Identify and read more document, ebook and publishing files: Scribus (.sla/.scd version, pages, fonts), MS Works and Windows Write, Word 97 templates (.dot), StarOffice 5.x binary docs, Shanda Bambook and Sony BBeB (.lrf/.lrx) ebooks, FrameMaker, document templates and legacy PageMaker.
- Depth of analysis
- .P65 is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
- Open a .P65 file
- Drag a .P65 file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
