What is a .OPML file?
OPML stores outlines, most often lists of RSS feed subscriptions.

- OPML, from 2000, is how people export and share their feed-reader subscriptions.
- OPML was created by Dave Winer at UserLand Software, first serving as the native file format of his Radio UserLand outliner.
- Although designed as a generic outline format, it found its lasting use exporting and sharing podcast and RSS subscription lists.

- .OPML is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
