What is a .PSB file?

PSB is Photoshop’s large-document format for huge images. Created and opened by Adobe Photoshop.

Did you know
  • PSB was added in Photoshop CS (2003) to handle files beyond 30,000 pixels or 2 GB.
  • PSB stands for “Photoshop Big”, and it can store canvases up to 300,000 by 300,000 pixels and files of around four exabytes.
  • Analyser handles .PSB alongside related formats such as .PSD.
What Analyser shows you
Open Adobe Photoshop documents (PSD and PSB) in the browser: the flattened composite image Photoshop bakes in is shown, plus the full layer tree with each layer name, blend mode, opacity, visibility and a per-layer thumbnail. Reads the canvas dimensions, colour mode and bit depth. Files saved without Maximize Compatibility have no composite, so their layers are shown instead.
Open a .PSB file
Drag a .PSB file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It opens entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
