What is a .CDP file?
CDP is shared by two unrelated tools: a CDP4 concurrent-design model from the COMET systems-engineering platform used by the European Space Agency, or a decision-analysis model from Criterium DecisionPlus.
- Did you know
- Criterium DecisionPlus, by InfoHarvest, saves its decision models as .cdp and ranks options using methods such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and SMART.
- In its other life a .cdp file is a CDP4 model from the COMET tool, following the ECSS-E-TM-10-25 European space-engineering data-exchange standard the ESA helped define.
- Criterium DecisionPlus presents its results with rankings, trade-off views and sensitivity analysis, so a recommendation can be tested under different assumptions.
- What Analyser reads
- Identify CDP files - either CDP4 (COMET) concurrent-design models from the ESA systems-engineering toolset, or Criterium DecisionPlus decision-analysis models.
- Depth of analysis
- .CDP is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
- Open a .CDP file
- Drag a .CDP file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It is identified entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
