What is a .DRT file?

DRT is a timeline exported from DaVinci Resolve. Created and opened by DaVinci Resolve.

Did you know
  • Two of Resolve’s built-in pages began as entirely separate products: Blackmagic bought the Fusion VFX tool from eyeon in 2014 and audio specialist Fairlight in 2016, then folded both into Resolve.
  • A DRT carries a single timeline’s cuts, effects and clip references so it can be dropped into another Resolve project.
  • It deliberately excludes the source footage, so a recipient sees “Media Offline” until the original files are relinked.
What Analyser shows you
Open Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve project (.drp) and timeline (.drt) exports in the browser. A .drp is a ZIP of database XML; Analyser unzips it and walks the SeqContainer track and clip objects to rebuild every timeline - each clip drawn as a bar positioned by its Start and Duration across stacked video and audio tracks, just like the Resolve edit page - showing source filenames, paths, frame rates and timecode, plus the project name, Resolve version, the media pool bins and the source media the timelines reference. Titles, generators and transitions are colour-coded.
Open a .DRT file
Drag a .DRT file onto the Analyser home page (or tap to pick one). It opens entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works offline once installed.
